SUSTAINABILITY & FABRICS

NYLON
Creating sustainable products always starts with choosing the right material. We have chosen to mainly concentrate on materials that give the garments a longer durability and correct function. Therefore, we prefer to use nylon than polyester. Our favorite is Econyl® which is a regenerated nylon fiber. The difference between recreated and recycled is gigantic in our way of choosing materials. Regenerated Econyl® nylon is at least as strong as original nylon and completely cleansed of all contaminants and toxins. Read more about Econyl here.
Recycled polyester, on the other hand, has a lower degree of durability than new polyester and is usually full of impurities and toxins. This is due to the disposable items that are most often used for the recycling of polyester. We actually prefer new nylon over all polyester as the properties are by far much better. Stronger materials, significantly longer life cycle and the ability to regenerate nylon over and over again, always take precedence over lower prices.

LYCRA®
Another important part in our products is LYCRA® fiber, which lasts the life of the garment as long as you follow its care instructions. Its benefits are permanent and can not be washed out. It gives the clothes lasting comfort, fit and performance. The LYCRA® fiber is a premium fiber that belongs to a class of synthetic fibers that is called elastane or spandex by others. LYCRA® is known worldwide for its industry-leading innovations, as well as its quality, elastic memory and durability.
OEKO-TEX 100
All materials we use are completely free of harmful substances and chemicals. Certified with Standard OEKO-TEX 100 in class 1, which means that the material is approved for use for example in baby clothes.
OUR SUPPLIERS
Of course, a good product also requires a good producer. From an environmental point of view, we have chosen to concentrate on producers within the EU and have chosen those that meet our requirements for knowledge, experience and environmental considerations. Virtually all of their energy use comes from renewable energy sources, from solar and wind power. Rainwater is used in production and reused in a circular system. The same applies to chemicals, these are reused and never released into nature.
As important as our products are to be environmentally sustainable and produced, we place great value on our suppliers who take care of those who work in the factories. Our fabrics are produced by controlled factories in Italy and sewing takes place in a small factory in Portugal. With guaranteed good working conditions, wages and safety.
